Chinese Garden Seats
Have you ever wondered what the intricate drum-shaped stools in home decor photos are? These little gems are ceramic Chinese Garden Stools. These stools originated during the Ming Dynasty more than 1,000 years ago. The stools moved from the Far East to the west and quickly migrated from the garden into the house. The influx of Chinese Garden Stools has taken off the past 10 years and continues to gain steam. These stools used to be an expensive antique purchase but now new, affordable versions are available for a modest price. Check out our blue and white garden stool and keep an eye out as we add to our offerings!

Tips for Spring
Spring is just around the corner and a here are our top tips to give your home an inexpensive makeover.
1. Reduce Clutter Spring is a time for renewal. Eliminating everyday clutter is probably the most important decorating tip in Redesign. Putting away winter accessories and clutter will create a stress-free atmosphere and lighten up the room.
2. Refresh with Paint Nothing imparts a clean fresh feeling like a coat of paint. Color or Neutrals... both do the trick and crisp white trim will brighten up any room.
3. Spruce Up Your Entryway First impressions and curb appeal seal the deal. Repaint your door, add a new brass kick plate and one of our charming door knockers. Plant pretty flowers in pots flanking your entry and replace a tired, old mail box to complete the look.
4. Refocus Your Focal Point For winter comfort and warmth, most people arrange their furniture around the fireplace and hang drapery to hold in the heat . Uncover your windows to let in the light and turn your sofa to face the window for an inviting view of the garden. If you can't rearrange your furniture away from the fireplace, "refocus the feeling" by cleaning it & inserting a basket of ferns in the opening.
5. Reinvent New Uses For Old Things Use everyday items in unusual ways: An old Quimper pitcher looks terrific by the stove as a vessel for wooden spoons. Ash trays seem to be outdated but this one of kind find adds to a blue and white décor displayed on a plate stand.
6. Regroup Your Collections Rearrange your photos and accessories to change the look of the room. Add floral throw pillows to a solid or tone on tone couch to bring the springtime in. Put away heavy throws and candles and bring out vintage vases and fill with fresh flowers.
